Web-Messages Campaigning - Survey
It was my project at Netcore where I worked on a design with an available design system but the concept was new. It was a new addition that came into the product because of the market trend.

The Task given
Adding surveys as a new type for the campaigning of web-messages
The survey is a type of web message that was getting added to Smartech's web messages.
What actually happened?
The role
UX UI Designer, The UI of the web application.
I worked with a Product Manager (Saurav Majumdar) and a Senior Designer (Johnson Minj). I worked on the requirement gathering with the help of a Senior Designer. After making the concept and analysis with other stakeholders I created final designs
The duration
3 weeks
We were supposed to come up with the working prototype with the help of the existing design system.
The Challenges
Working with the available design system for a product that was not tested before
There were some cases where we wanted to deal with multiple questions and multiple pages. There was a requirement for the components, and interactions related to them were expected. We were expecting to make most of the design with the available design system.
Translating complex concepts of dynamic pages for marketers
I realized I was pulling a complex concept for the Marketer while creating a dynamic form. It can be created as complex as possible. But increasing the complexity of the tool also brings frustration to the user. I made many cases where why a marketer would like to build a dynamic survey. Also, I put up some limitations on the survey building because I wanted to have the least cognitive load while creating such cases.

The Solution
Clickable Prototype on 'Sketch'
The above link has work made on Sketch and imported to Figma.
How did I solve?
I did not use the user interviews or the prior data to see if surveys are going to be an impactful feature. I was convinced enough to go with the idea of adding them. I wanted to make the survey easier and an effective way of campaigning. It wasn't available in most of the competitors. People do like interactive campaigns were visible through products like google maps and Linkedin surveys.
The process
I didn't spend more time on the research phase in the project rather I went with the iterative process of creating concepts and retesting them until the user gives positive feedback within a scheduled time
To create a Survey Builder, we studied the types of surveys. Also made a few concepts to understand the requirements of the builder.

Feedback

The overall efforts looks like this
Competitors analysis
Following List is a benchmark we kept
1. Google's Form Builder
2. Survey Monkey
3. MoEngage, Clevertap
User Empathy
I started to look after some answers to the questions
1. Why survey appearing on from the google maps seems hasssle-free ?
2. Why even as a user I would convert for a Survey
3. What as a marketer I would like to put surveys for
Problem Identification
The forms/ surveys are supposed to minimalist and aesthetically appealing
The surveys done for the campaigning are modal in size of the interface for a desktop and also exist with multiple questions
Marketer has to make dynamic Survyes where answers make changes to the UI
Surveys generally are minimalist but should also grab the User's attention
Concept Generation
The concepts were created and evaluated with the help of stakeholders
Final Design
The final design I had created is given here in the link:

Usability testing
I did the testing with the in-house marketing team. While doing the user testing I also recorded the conversation for further evaluation with stakeholders.
Learning
Setting up a Usability Testing
Trade between the flexibility of the design system for new element and component
What would I change now
I would have checked the impact coming due to surveys in campaigning web pop ups and pushed the boundaries for dynamic pages as well
